Diamond Hills Equestrian Center is pleased to announce our third schooling show in our summer dressage series. This show has several new twists:
- Eventers can ride the dressage tests from USEA sponsored shows - from Beginner Novice through Preliminary. All standard USEF/USDF dressage tests Intro through Fourth will also be offered.
- All competitors can choose to enter with either a standard single ride class - or opt for a new, educational Test and Re-ride format. This format is designed to help you identify ways to improve your scores - with the judge’s help! There are four components to the class:
- Ride your test once through and the judge will score just as in a normal competition.
- After your ride, the judge will coach you on ways to improve your scores. She will spend about 10 minutes with you.
- You’ll have some time to practice on your own, again about 10 minutes.
- Then you re-ride your test and see how you’ve improved!
You will get both score sheets with scores and comments, plus personal assistance from the judge.
Our judge for this show is Sharon Marshall (L). Sharon has been riding for close to 30 years, earning her bronze, silver and gold medals from USDF. In addition to receiving her L level judging license, she has completed several courses past this level and has passed most of her tests to receive her USDF instructors certification. Sharon has been showing her current mare grand prix for the past four years. In 2004 they were awarded CDS Horse of the Year and USDF champions at Int-1. Sharon is a regular part of the popular Dressage in the Wine Country event. Sharon has trained with many top European trainers, naming Herr Schumacher and Christine Traurig among my favorites.
